Well this is my first experience writing a blog..hopes this continues and i am able to record my daily activities at pushpagiri medical college..

Well right now i'm a second year student..its been about a month since start of 2nd yr... Today's was for the first time i left to college with no tension at all..hehe oh ya..the last one month was terrible..we entered 2nd yr with high hopes of being able to bunk classes ..enjoy..have fun and all that shit..well they were all destroyed rit from the first day..rit now im doin my surgery posting..and we have 2 units for surgery..meaning there are two set of teachers for two batch of students...at one particular posting there are 30 students of which half are under S1 unit and the rest in S2 unit..i was in the S1 unit..well this is all the info that ppl here require to know to decide whether ur screwed or not...well for instance if one of your friends finds your guardian visiting you..he can plainly predict why they have come..all he needs is to know is the answers to 2 questions..one being..which posting?/ and the other which unit??...and if the answers are surgery S2...well BANG..he says YOUR SCREWED...your guardian was either called by the S1 profs or you were asked to bring them..the reasons could vary..the could range from being late to class or not attending class due to some illness and couldn't give prior notice...well hehe i'll give an example...say one morning you find you have diarrhea..perhaps due to the previous nights food...thus you cant attend class...but your screwed...you have to predict the previous day itself  that you'll have diarrhoea the next day and get the prior leave for it...hehehe...this is basically what we...students  of S1 unit i.e me and my friends were going thru for the past one month..well i'll give you an overall idea of how the surgery department functions..

Monday....OP....out patient clinics...this is when the doctor meets his patients and treats them sitting in his room..he could either give them certain drus...refer them to another doctor..or get them admitted...on this day we have to go Dr A.S Mathew sirs OP...well he is no fun..He is the HOD of the department..meaning the scariest of all the professors...the day begins at 8 o clock ...we have morning class till about 9.30 ...could extend 10 at times...after which we are supposed to run to the OP...we all gather around the doctor...and watch him treating the patients..this goes upto 12 noon..well this is no fun..well nothin is fun in surgery..hehe..the worst part o f any Op is we have to keep standing all the time...no rest at all unless the doc leaves...in between the doc which in AS Mathew sirs case{ i'll be referring him asm henceforth} would ask questions to each one of us...well this is not scary but the consequence is terrible...well suppose you dont know the answer...asm instant response would be 10 times..or 5 times..or write the whole chapter once...and BOOM...your screwed for the next one week...you have to keep writing on and on until you finish the imposition..well one relieving factor of asm is that he wont ask for the impositions..but one fine day if he is in a terrible mood and he checks your book and if u havents completed them your SCREWED...well asm has mood swings just like women going thru their menstrual days..he could one day be in an awesome mood..or he could be terrible..well im exhausted today..will write the rest later.....
